The restoration of this 1983 Contessa will include the redesign of the hull interior, new floors supports, walls and furnishing, with the goal of reducing weight, increasing performance, reliability and reducing operating cost along with the reduction of hydrocarbon emissions thanks to these innovations and use of eco friendy components. Each Episode will cover different aspects of the rebuilding process, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
looks better and better in each video and so does the boat
Good point.. Thecostof a 29 ft boat new is around 120K. A used one newer 60K. The problem w them isthat there is so much that would need to be re done to get to the level of a custom boat. I estimatethe cost for Pretty Perfect to be between 45-50k before electronics.
Thanks.
this is incredible, however, but i would be interested in knowing if the costs far exceeded the value of a new boat. And this fellow must be a nautical engineer to know how to do all this.
A year and no new video?
Fantastic work! Cant wait to see the next episode.:-)
Friggin’ amazing.. seriously talented bastard who ever did this.. best thing I’ve seen in marrying wood with modern materials in a long time..
WOW!
I was looking for a simple boat rebuild video and found this….. WOW!! An inspiration for sure and though I might not be as technical as this guy its definitely a video on how to do it right. Like she said, “PRETTY PERFECT”
She’s getting ship-shape or should I say PRETTY PERFECT, Cappy!
